Kris Bryant Is Crushing Baseballs Into The Chicago River Today

-

I never really thought I’d want to watch the reigning NL MVP murder baseballs into the historic Chicago River but since the opportunity has presented itself — why not?

Apparently hitting baseballs out of stadiums across the nation wasn’t good enough for Bryant so he’s taking his home run hitting talents downtown to the banks of the Chicago River at noon today.

Bryant will take his regular Wrigley batting practice from his Cubs coaches but obviously instead of hitting the ball onto Sheffield or Waveland avenue, these poor baseballs will be screaming into the river. For those of you who are ready to put the wet suit on and dive in to get a souvenir — don’t. The Urban Kayak and Harbor Safety Committee will be on hand to help clean the river of all the baseballs.

If you’re interested in attending (or watching online), the details are below.

Subscribe to the Pinwheels and Ivy Show, a White Sox vs. Cubs podcast made for Chicago fans.

Date: Tuesday, April 11

Location: 444 W. Lake Street (www.chicagoriverpoint.com)

Time: Noon (fans recommended to arrive by 11 am)

If you can’t make it downtown to watch in person, the BP will be shown via Facebook Live at facebook.com/cubs.

This should be a pretty cool event to check out!
