Bob Probert’s Ashes Spread In Unholiest Of Places

-

Former NHL enforcer Bob Probert spent much of his career in the penalty box. That’s why it should come of as no surprise to where his ashes were recently spread.

Probert is the Detroit Red Wings all-time leader in penalty minutes (2,090) and also holds the single season record (398). He is also fifth all-time in penalty minutes with 3,300.

With the last Red Wings game played at the famed Joe Louis Arena on Sunday night, his family felt it was as time spread his ashes. Inside the penalty box of Joe Louis Arena.

Probert’s family donated his brain for research after his death in July of 2010 before cremating his body. Over a year later he was going to have CTE.

He was a tough guy but was well loved by family, friends and fans alike. There’s no doubt that Probie’s soul lays in heaven but his ashes will remain in “The Sin Bin” of The Joe for eternity.
