Eleven games into the 2017 season and Avisail Garcia is still raking at the plate. The American League batting leader went 4-4 today, saving his best for last in the form of a 2-run moon shot to give the White Sox the lead for good in the 10th inning.

The White Sox now sit at 6-5, in large part due to two very unlikely heroes: Garcia, and James Shields, who threw another gem this afternoon. Avi now owns a season slash line of .465/.511/.674. Shields now has a season ERA of 1.62 through 3 starts. Both players look like polar opposites of last year. Who knows if the production from either will keep up, but for now we can all just enjoy the show.
