Signing Dion Sims was a surprise. The belief is he’ll bring instant blocking help at tight end and has upside as a pass catcher. Nevertheless, this doesn’t solve the teams’ depth concerns. Daniel Brown and Ben Braunecker didn’t do much last year and Zach Miller is old and injury-prone. George Kittle is exactly the sort of addition they could hope for. He’s already a proven blocker from a pro system and has the athletic upside to become a regular target in the passing game.
