Kyle Long Reveals Who He Would Love Bears To Draft

-

It turns out Long is anything but bias on offense or defense. His focus is on finding the football guys. Those who look like they came out of the womb ready to play on Sundays. So who fits that description based on the limited tapes he’s seen? None other than Stanford standout and Chicago native Solomon Thomas.

Indeed Thomas is becoming the hot topic among Bears fans lately. He’s viewed as a potential game-wrecker with a versatile skill set. Athletic and quick enough to come off the edge but big and strong enough to come off the middle. To top it off he’s basically a boy scout off the field who transforms into a relentless animal when the pads go on. Sounds like somebody Chicago would fall in love with.

To say nothing of what it could look like with him, Leonard Floyd, Akiem Hicks and Pernell McPhee rushing the passer.

Long might have a future in scouting and front office work when this playing career is all said and done. It’s hard to say where the Bears regime stands on Thomas. Word recently leaked that they like him. How much? Only they know that for certain. Given the fact he’s been compared to former great Justin Smith, odds are it’s a lot. Either way the thought of him and Kyle slugging it out in training camp is beyond exciting.
