Blackhawks Second Leading Goal Scorer Out 3-4 Weeks

-

The Chicago Blackhawks will be without Artem Anisimov for the next 3-4 weeks. He suffered a left leg injury against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night and left the game. His exact injury has not been revealed yet so stay tuned to Sports mockery for more information.

Anismov has had a career resurgence in a spot the Blackhawks have been trying to fill for years on the second line. The 28 year old center was having the best year of his career between Artemin Panarin and Patrick Kane. He is one of four Blackhawks players with at least 20 goals (22) and was in the middle of his most productive season (45pts).

Nick Schmaltz replaced Anisimov during the Canadiens game and will most like fill that role as the team goes forward. Newly acquired John Hayden will probably see time on the top line alongside Jonathan Toews for the time being.
