The commercial was being filmed at Bryant’s high school in Las Vegas, Bonanza High School. Red Bull thought it’d be funny to bring in Maddux, a Las Vegas guy like Bryant, and disguise him as a sound guy during the commercial. Maddux would offer “advice” to Bryant throughout the course of the day and you could tell KB was getting kind of annoyed with him.
To make matters worse, Maddux eventually finds a way to throw BP to Bryant. The NL MVP quickly realizes that the “sound guy” has a pretty good arm. You can hear Bryant mumble,
The sound guy’s got a pretty good curve ball.”
Yes, Kris. 4-time Cy Young winners usually have a pretty solid repertoire of pitches.
