Cubs fans were enthused to learn that even though he would no longer be playing for the Cubs, David Ross would remain with the team serving as a special assistant in the front office. Ross turned into a fan favorite during his two-year stint in Chicago and I’d challenge you to find a Cubs fan that has anything bad to say about the man.
He’s just a really good dude.
Although Rossy won’t be on the playing field each day, he said he’s excited to see the “other side” of baseball and learn the in’s and out’s of what it takes to run a Major League club. I’m fully confident Rossy will do an outstanding job doing whatever Jed and Theo ask but in the event that he doesn’t, it appears he has a fall back plan of being a rapper.
Yes, a rapper.
