Deshaun Watson is arguably the best college quarterback in the country and the Chicago Bears are desperately in need of a good one. As of right now, the Bears are expected to pick near the top of the 2017 NFL Draft, possibly number one, making Watson a strong candidate to land with Chicago next season.
Matter of fact, Sports Illustrated already chose Watson as the Bears’ first-round draft pick making him the fourth overall selection in their recent 2017 mock. That specific article assumes the Browns, 49ers and Titans will end up with worse records than the Bears which is debatable after three games.
The main reason this is important is because DeShone Kizer, the current quarterback from Notre Dame was selected at number two making either player a possibility for Chicago.
Scouts are going to analyze this year’s quarterback class up and down for the next few months, but Pro Football Focus (PFF) has already made their decision and Watson is their guy. According to PFF, Watson was the best quarterback in the country last year too, making him better than top picks Jared Goff and Carson Wentz.
