Chris Sale Looks To Get The White Sox Back On Track Today Versus The Tribe

43

Following a crazy day at U.S. Cellular Field that saw rain, snow, sunshine and everything in between in a 7-1 loss to the Indians, the White Sox send ace Chris Sale to the hill today in an attempt to even this three-game set at one win apiece.

Sale looked solid on Opening Night against the A’s, throwing seven innings and giving up three runs on seven scattered hits. He’ll make his home debut today against a Cleveland team that he’s had some success with in the past. In 20 innings against the Tribe a season ago, Sale had 31 strikeouts and a 2.17 ERA.

Cleveland will counter with young right-hander Cody Anderson, who had a strong rookie campaign in 2015, posting a 7-3 record and a 3.05 ERA in 15 starts. Today’s White Sox lineup only has nine official at-bats against Anderson.

Here’s the starting lineups and everything else you need to know for today’s matchup.
