It was only a matter of time before Manny Ramirez stirred up some trouble. That’s just Manny being Manny, right? Okay, it’s really not that bad at all. With all of these former Cubs like Ryne Sandberg and Kerry Wood being brought in to throw out the first pitch before the playoff games, the Cubs hitting coach wants to bring in the biggest hitter in franchise history if they make it to the World Series. That’s right, I’m talking about Sammy Sosa.

The Chicago Cubs still have some work ahead of them before making it to the World Series. But their hitting coach Manny Ramirez says if the team gets that far, they should bring back the one and only Sammy Sosa!

Ramirez said he wants Sosa to throw out a first pitch at one of the Wrigley Field games if the Cubs make it to the World Series.

However, accomplishing that might not be that easy. Sosa says that the Cubs still need to apologize to him for all of the things that have happened since he left the organization. The Cubs have distanced themselves from the former MVP following the steroid scandal, and he wasn’t invited to participate in last year’s 100th anniversary celebration of Wrigley Field.

It’s said that time heals all wounds, and Theo Epstein says that he’d be fine with Sosa’s return to Chicago, but I really don’t see this happening. Sorry Manny.
