The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired Kimmo Timonen from the Philadelphia Flyers for a 2015 2nd round pick and a conditional pick in 2016.

Timonen, 39, was diagnosed with blood clots last summer and has missed the entire season due to the condition. He was recently cleared to play and has been preparing for his return over the past several weeks. He is a career plus/minus 38 and has notoriously held leadership positions with his clubs.

Timonen is set to earn $2 million this season, leaving roughly $5.5 million to spare, so sit back cause Stan “the man” Bowman isn’t done.

What does Chicago think of this deal?

That’s right Jen! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh!!!

I mean, nice job Stan Bowman, nice job.
