Darryl Sharpton was signed by the Bears on September 24th, after he was released by the Redskins, and his presence is generating a lot of buzz in Chicago. After a great debut on the starting defense against Atlanta, Sharpton finds himself in the mix to contribute more regularly for the Bears at the middle linebacker position.

“He was one of the primary reserves in Houston but emerged in 2013 with 87 tackles, a pass defense and a forced fumble in eight starts.  He isn’t the biggest or fastest but is very tough and is an explosive tackler.” (Sept 25th)

Sharpton vs. Atlanta

In a game where everyone had their eye on Florida State alum Christian Jones, Sharpton is the one Bears fans are excited about. Here are four plays worth seeing that were originally pointed out by Steve Ronkowski of SB Nation. In these highlights Sharpton shows off his power, speed, lateral quickness and coverage ability. It’s clear why Bears fans are excited to see what else he can do.
