Steve Ballmer Officially Owns The Clippers

63

Ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is now the new owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. The deal for the Clippers closed on Tuesday when a California court finally gave Shelly Sterling the authority to sell the team after a long four month legal battle with husband and ex-owner Donald Sterling. Ballmer made a $2 billion bid for the team back on May 29th but could not become full owner until Shelly Sterling was given authority to sell the team without consent for Donald.

The selling of the Clippers comes after Donald Sterling was recorded making racist remarks towards the black community. He was later banned for life from the NBA and forced to sell his team. He then went through a large and dramatic legal battle with the NBA and his wife Shelly in a attempt to remain owner of the Clippers.

Ballmer had this to say,  “I am humbled and honored to be the new owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, Clipper fans are so amazing. They have remained fiercely loyal to our franchise through some extraordinary times. I will be hard core in giving the team, our great coach, staff and players the support they need to do their best work on the court. And we will do whatever necessary to provide our fans and their families with the best game-night experience in the NBA.”

Lets meet Steve Ballmer.

In case the video and pictures didn’t make it clear, Ballmer is an absolute animal. The Clippers are in for a real treat as this billionaire takes reign as owner.
