Ryan Mundy is the new safety for the Chicago Bears, and he’s already off to a hot start. Mundy recorded his first interception with the Chicago Bears in their 34-28 win over the Philadelphia Eagles Friday night.
Mundy has apparently locked up one of the two starting safety positions, now it’s just a matter of finding the other one. The free safety position is still up for grabs between Chris Conte, Brock Vereen, Adrian Wilson and Danny McCray, but Mundy will be starting the season as the Chicago Bears strong safety barring any setbacks.
The former Super Bowl Champion (Steelers) has his goals set high for 2014, and he isn’t going to let anything stand in his way.
“It’s just a matter of going out there and executing. I’m comfortable playing with all of our safeties.”
Ryan Mundy has 208 career tackles and two interceptions.
