The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness and funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, has really taken off the last couple of weeks. Everyone from celebrities like Justin Timberlake to athletes to every day citizens has taken part in it.
It has really been big here in Chicago as many of the local sports and media figures have joined in as well.
One particular Chicago athlete was challenged though. Chicago Blackhawks Right Wing Marian Hossa is nominated by Forward Maria Gaborik of the Stanley Cup Champion LA Kings, who took the challenge next level by getting a Zamboni full of snow on him. Hossa has yet to reply to the challenge.
