The Chicago Bears will not have their starting right tackle, Jordan Mills, for their second preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars because he is suffering from a sore foot. This will be the second game he’s missed so far after sitting out the opener vs. the Eagles.
“I really think it’s just day to day, ” Bears coach Marc Trestman said. “He’s in that boot. He’s out of that boot. He’s doing the things he needs to do. I don’t want to put a time limit on this thing.”
Mills was held out of practice all week according to ESPN, and his current backup Eben Britton is also out with a hamstring. The Chicago Bears are likely to start Michael Ola (6’4″, 312 lbs) out of Hampton College.
“We’ll just see, ” Trestman said. “As I’ve always said, and I’ve been consistent, when the trainers and doctors say he’s ready to go, he’ll be out there. I don’t make those decisions.”
