FINALLY! A defensive Chicago Bears player has made the ESPN Top 100 Players of 2014, and he was not even on the team last year. After Jay Cutler landed at 93, and Bennett at 82, Houston is the third Bear to make the list.
Lamarr Houston, new free agent acquisition by the Bears, ranked number 80 in the ESPN Top 100 Defensive Players. Again, like Martellus Bennett, Houston did not land on the list in 2013, but now he has made the leap.
Last season, the Raiders recorded a sack on 7.0 percent of pass attempts with Houston on the field compared with 4.5 percent of attempts with Houston on the sideline.

The Bears are hoping that Houston can improve their run and pass defense this season, and help them get back to the Monsters of the Midway.
