Miller, who had been coming on strong as the second TE behind starter Martellus Bennett was injured in last night’s preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The injury to his left foot was apparently severe enough for the Bears to put him on IR.
Bears fans were hoping that Miller, who had two TD catches against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Bears first preseason game, would be able to step up as another offensive threat after wide receiver Marquess Wilson broke his clavicle during training camp.
