What a weekend of highs and lows for Chicago baseball fans. The Cubs swept the first place Baltimore Orioles with impressive pitching and timely hitting in all three ball games. The Orioles typically crush leftys on the road, but Wada shut them down. He may be a buy-low pitcher for the rest of the year until the odds makers catch on.
Meanwhile, the White Sox struggled in New York. They fell apart yesterday after a Viciedo error and lost it on a walk-off in extras. Today, both teams are off. There are only 10 games in MLB and I only have ONE play.
Play of the Day
Boston Red Sox (C. Buchholz) vs Toronto Blue Jays (J. Haap) -120
The Toronto Blue Jays have crushed Clay Buchholz this year. He is 1-3 with an ERA over 7.00 against them. Factor in he has a 5.95 ERA at night and a 4.74 ERA in road games, and I don’t see much hope for him tonight. Happ is statistically in his best situation, a night home game. He has a 3.26 ERA at home and a 3.95 ERA at night. He is 2-0 with a 3.27 ERA against Boston this year. Play in this game is Toronto -120.
