CHICAGO, IL — The Chicago Bears are clearing the roster and trimming it down to the required 53 by the 3:00 p.m. deadline.
A bit of surprise to see Kelvin Hayden released, but every year tough decisions like this need to be made. The highlight of his career came in Super Bowl XLI, against the Bears, when he intercepted a Rex Grossman pass and returned it 56 yards for a touchdown to help lead the Colts to a 29-17 win.
Bears have released CB Kelvin Hayden, as @peggykusinski first reported. Leaves some questions about slot CB behind Tim Jennings.
