Adam Eaton’s Return to White Sox Imminent

Chicago White Sox, Adam Eaton

Adam Eaton,  the Chicago White Sox lead off man, has been on the DL since crashing into the outfield wall, followed two days later by pulling an oblique while grounding out on August 8th. However, his rehab assignment began on Saturday. The White Sox need Eaton back in the lineup. He is currently hitting .304 and has 12 stolen bases.

Things are not looking great for the Sox this season,  and once again they are on pace to miss the playoffs. Once Adam Eaton is back and healthy they can focus on other areas that need improvement. First and foremost,  their bullpen comes to mind. This was evident August 5th against the Texas Rangers when Adam Dunn pitched an inning in the 16-0 Rangers win.

Eaton does not become a free agent until 2019 and once he returns to the team he can resume being the solid lead off hitter that the White Sox have grown accustomed to.
